Ian James Sharland BSc(Eng) CEng MRAeS FIOA (Principle Acoustic Consultant)
Ian James Sharland graduated in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Southampton in 1960. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Acoustics and a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society. He has been engaged in the field of noise and vibration assessment and control for some 44 years in capacities including University Research and Academic staff, industrial general management and private consultancy practice. He founded his practice Ian Sharland Limited in 1976.
Richard Sharland MA MSc CEng MIOA (Principle Acoustic Consultant)
Richard Sharland graduated in Engineering from Cambridge University in 1988. He has a Masters Degree in Environmental Acoustics from the University of the South Bank, he is a Chartered Engineer and he is a Member of the Institute of Acoustics.
Peter Ashford BSc(Eng) MIOA (Principle Acoustic Consultant)
Peter Ashford graduated in Engineering Acoustics from Southampton University in 1986. He is a Member of the Institute of Acoustics. After periods with Hann Tucker Associates and Acoustic Engineering Services Limited, he joined Ian Sharland Limited as an Associate in 1990. He is now a Director of the company.
Eddie Oxborough MIOA (Senior Acoustic Consultant)
Eddie Oxborough has worked in the field of engineering noise control for 20 years, providing design and manufacturing expertise to the practical solution of acoustic problems. With a MSc in Applied Acoustics, he has also completed the Institute of Acoustics Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control (with Distinction), and is a Member of the Institute of Acoustics.
John Hammond TechIOA (Senior Acoustic Consultant)
Formerly a member of the armed forces, John Hammond has worked for Ian Sharland since 2005. He has completed the Institute of Acoustics Diploma in Environmental Noise Assessment, and is a Technical Member of the Institute of Acoustics.
